# Zinc Mobility in Wheat: Uptake and Distribution of Zinc Applied to Leaves or Roots

The present study tested a range of Zinc products, including Biomin Zinc, applied
foliarly for their sustainability to provide adequate Zinc nutrition to wheat.

Foliarly-applied Zinc was translocated to leaves above and below the treated leaf
as well as to the root tips. Stem girdling confirmed that Zinc transport toward 
lower leaves and roots was via the phloem. Shoot and Root Zinc concentrations were
highest in the Biomin Zinc treated plants.
