Fulvic Acid

Use Fulvic acid and beneficial organisms to kick-start your spring plantings!

Spring is well and truly here along with all the ups and downs of weather, spring flowers and the hope of a long, hot summer ahead.  Many of you will have started sowing seed for summer veggies and our blog this month talks about feeding your soil with Fulvic Acid to ensure a bountiful season of produce.

Feeding your Soil – Fulvic Acid

Soil no longer has the abundance of vitamins and minerals and other nutrients it once had.  The use of chemicals and synthetic fertilisers has upset the microbial balance of soil and much of our commercially grown produce is no longer as nutrient dense as we would expect (compared to 40-50 years ago).  You can ensure the soil in your garden is providing the nutrients both plants and humans require with the simple addition of our Fulvic Acid product, Mobilizer.

Fulvic acid benefits your produce by transporting the nutrients from the soil to the plants and by activating these same nutrients so they are in a much more absorbable form.  In the absence of Fulvic Acid, plants may have access to nutrients but their uptake is difficult and limited. Also, minimal Fulvic Acid in the soil means that the plants we are growing will also have minimal Fulvic Acid to pass on to us!  In humans, just as in plants, Fulvic Acid carries important minerals directly to our cells which in turn can have positive impacts on all types of diseases and ailments. An important aspect of soil health is the balance of Active Organic Matter and Passive Organic Matter.  Active Organic Matter is pretty obvious – well rotted manure and compost, for example.  Active Organic Matter is all about microbiology.  Microbial life is supported and fed, soil retains moisture, it builds soil structure, provides plants with Nitrogen and the microorganisms suppress disease.  Passive Organic Matter – Humic and Fulvic Acid – comes from long term decay and cannot be broken down further. Passive Organic Matter dissolves, mobilises and transports minerals and water and stimulates seed germination, and that’s just the beginning.

In summary, organic matter will enrich garden soils, improve their structure, enhance moisture retention and provide essential nutrients for plant growth.

Nutrition at Planting time – Beneficial Organisms.

We talk about our award winning Mycorrhizal fungi product, Rootella, a lot when talking about new plantings for commercial growers and it’s no different for your home garden – big or small.

These beneficial organisms form symbiotic relationships with plant roots and give those plants better access to nutrients and water and offer protection from disease causing pathogens.

Adding a Rootella T grow bag to the hole when planting out your carefully raised vege seeds is so simple and partnered with Superzyme, which is packed with beneficial organisms, you have a supercharged duo that will help your plants thrive in all conditions.
